TOUR ITINERARY

Tour Route
Beijing-Xian-Lhasa-Gyantse-Shigatse-Shegar-Zhangmu-Kathmandu
Day 1: Arrive in Beijing
Upon arrival in Beijing, be welcomed by our English-speaking tour guide and private vehicle, then transfer you to the centrally-located 3-star hotel. Hotel check-in and free activities on your own.
Day 2: City Tour (B/L)
Forbidden City Corner Tower
Hotel pick-up in the morning around 8:00, then enjoy the full day tour to the Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven with lunch included.
Day 3: Great wall and Ming tomb tour (B/L)
Badaling Great Wall
Hotel pick-up at 8:00 am, then enjoys the full day tour to the Great wall at Mutianyu – the prettiest part in Beijing and Ming tomb (underground palace). Lunch included.
Day 4: Xian one day City Tour (B/L)
Big Wild Goose Pagoda Xian
Hotel check-out in the early morning around 5:40, and take the morning flight to Xian. Upon arrival, be met by our local guide and driver, then go straight to the Terra-cotta Warriors and Big Wild Goose Pagoda afterwards, also including the tour to the Ancient City Wall. Lunch included.
In the late afternoon, check into the local 3-star hotel (centrally located).
Day 5: Tibet Train to Lhasa (B)
Hotel check-out in the early morning, then get onto the Lhasa express train to Tibet.
Overnight in the Train, soft sleeping berth
Day 6: Arrive in Lhasa
Enjoys window sightseeing along the Tibetan railway. Arrive Lhasa at 6:40 pm, be met by our local guide and driver, then transfer to the local 3-star hotel to check in.
Day 7: Full day Lhasa tour to Potala Palace , Jokhang Temple, Barkhor street (B)
Lhasa - Potala Palace
Hotel pick-up in the morning, then spend the whole morning to visit the famous Potala palace and explore the mythical halls, exhibition chambers, figures of the Buddha.
In the afternoon, touring to the holy temple in Tibet – the Johkang Temple, which was built during songtsen gonpo’s period by princess of wencheng in Great Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD).
The circular pilgrim way around Jokhang temple is named barkhor and later flourished, forming the embryo of the city. The barkhor market is one of the most famous sites throughout Tibet, and it is the ideal place to buy traditional Tibetan artifacts, religious implements, antiques, books, Tibetan music instrument, Thangkas, and traditional Tibetan clothes, etc.
Day 8: Full day Lhasa tour to Sera Monastery and Drepung Monastery (B)
Drepung Monastery
Drepung monastery is located at the foot of a holy mountain and was established by Jamyang Choeje in 1416. It was used to the home of 10,000 monks and it was the centre government before fifth dalai lama and then, the government was moved to the famous Potala palace. later on, you can also visit the Nechung monastery which located 1km southeast of Drepung and is the abode of the protector deity pehar and the seat of the state Oracle of Tibet.
In the afternoon, go on visiting to the Sera monastery which was founded in 1419 by Jamchen Choeje (a follower to Songtsen Gonpo). The highlight is that the Monk debate is held there in the courtyard at around 6:00-7:30.
Day 9: Lhasa to Gyantse (B)
Hotel check-out and leaving for Gyantse in the morning, today we will travel 300 km/188 miles on the expressway. While we travel on the top of Mt. Gangbala, you will see the fabulous shade of turquoise, Yamdrok lake shaped just like a coiling scorpion with deep clear water in the color of blue.
After 3 hours driving, we will arrive at our destination-Gyantse, visit Kubum Monastery first, which is 35 meters high with its white layers trimmed with decorative stripes. Later on, drive to the local hotel to check in.
Day 10: Gyantse – Shigatse – Sakya – Lhatse (B)
Tashilunpo Monastery
In the morning, visiting the unique TashiLhunpo monastery(90km/56 miles), then drive to Sakya, visit Sakya Monastery, The Sakya Monastery is one of the four main Buddhist schools in Tibet. It was from here that the whole of Tibet was governed during the period of Sakya hegemony and even now there are buildings of historic importance could be seen here. You will have the chance to see the largest book in the world in Sakya’s great library written in gold.
Later on, check in the local hotel at Lhatse
Day 11: Lhatse to Rongphu Monastery and Everest Base Camp (B)
Mount Everest
Driving direct towards Rongphu Monastery, which is the highest monastery in the world, take a short break and then hike for 2 hours to the Everest Base Camp, enjoy free sightseeing and walking at the Base Camp, overnight either camping at the Base Camp or get back to the Monastery.
Day 12: Rongpuk Monastery to Dram (B)
Leaving Rongphu Monastery in the morning and heading directly to Dram along the bumpy road.
While on the way, you will see the famous peak – Mt. Shishabangma (8,012 meters above sea level). Upon arrival, stay in a local hotel (2-star standard, nice and clean)
Day 13: Dram to Zhangmu- Kathmandu (B)
Drive from Dram to Zhangmu Town in the morning.
Zhangmu is a small town at around 2,400 meters above sea level, after having breakfast, our guide will accompany you to China Exit Border Office in Zhangmu to check out and stamp your leaving. then drive you towards to border bridge. Our vehicle will stop at 50meters away from border bridge where the China side border check office is, The Nepal tour guide will go cross the border bridge to China side to meet you, then you follow the Nepal tour guide to check in Nepal side, then drive you to Kathmandu
Overnight in Kathmandu, 3 star hotel
Day 14: Half day sightseeing tour (Pashupathinath, Boudhanath and Paten) (B)
After breakfast, your Nepalese tour guide will take you to the major sightseeing places in Kathmandu. Tour includes historic monuments, temples, monasteries, palaces and UNESCO World Heritage Sites like and Boudhanath, Hindu temples of Pashupatinath.
Then back to your hotel.
Day 15: Kathmandu Valley half a day Tour (B)
Kathmandu Valley
Hotel pick-up at 8:30 am, visit Bhaktapur, where you will experience unique culture and finest display of the artworks. Bhaktapur is the only place in Nepal has not been influenced by western culture.
Drive back to your hotel in the afternoon. Free on your own.
Day 16: Leave Kathmandu to your next destination
Your Nepalese tour guide will take you to the airport for your flight to next destination.
