| Day 01: Arrive in Lhasa (3,600meters above sea level) |
| Welcome to Tibet! Your local guide will meet you upon your arrival in Gonggar airport and will escort you to Lhasa. On the 2-hour drive way, you’ll enjoy the heart-stopping views along the Yarlong Tsangpo River. After arrival at your hotel, the rest of the day is free for you to explore the local area and acclimatize yourself to this high altitude city at the top of the world. |
| Day 02: Lhasa (B) |
 The overwhelming Potala Palace is your first stop. As the symbol of Tibet, it was built in 641 AD and was the winter palace of Dalai Lama who is Tibet’s pope. Impressive Tibetan architecture, huge golden Buddha statues, red-robed lamas and devoted pilgrims all make it a must-visit. In the afternoon, you’ll visit the Jokhang Temple, the spiritual center of Tibet. Every day, pilgrims from every corner of Tibet trek here from long distances to worship. Finally, walk the special circular pilgrimage route as local followers always do at Barkhor Street. |
| Day 03: Lhasa – Gyantse (B/L/D) |
 Drive via Yamdrok Tso, the Turquoise Lake, to Gyangtse across Kampa La (5,050m) and Karo La (5,045m) passes. Visit Kubum Stupa & Palkor Monastery. |
| Day 04: Gyantse – Shigatse (B/L/D) |
 Drive to Shigatse. En route visit Shalu Monastery. Visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the seat of Panchen Lama and one of the largest functioning monasteries in Tibet. |
| Day 05: Shigatse – Shegar (B/L/D) |
| Today you will traverse along the Friendship Highway amidst picturesque landscape driving past small town of Lhatse and Gyamtso La pass at 5,220m. As the route opens into plains, many monasteries and camps of nomadic herders become visible en route to Shegar. |
| Day 06: Shegar – Zhangmu (B) |
| Drive over Lalung La Pass (5,124m) to Zhangmu. Enjojoy great views of the peaks of the Himalayan Range. En route visit Milarepa Cave. |
| Day 07: Zhangmu – Kathmandu (B) |
 Few kilometers drive away from Zhangmu to Friendship Bridge. Walk across Friendship Bridge to Nepal and transfer to Kathmandu. End of overland tour from Lhasa to Kathmandu. |
