TOUR ITINERARY

| Day 1: Arrival – Lhasa (3650m) |
| Lhasa Airport or Train station pick-up by our local well-trained English-speaking tour guide and driver. Then, transfer you to the hotel (3 star hotel). The rest of the day is on your own to adjust your body to acclimatize the high altitude. |
| Day 2: Full day tour to Potala Palace, Jokhang, Barkhor street and Sera Monastery (B) |

Full day tour to Potala Palace, Johkang Temple, Barkhor street and Sera Monastery.
Potala Palace is the land mark of Lhasa and is also considered as one of the seven wonders in the world. In Nov, 2000, potala Palace is listed as the World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Johkang Temple was built during songtsen Gonpo’s period by princess Wencheng in Great Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD). Then explore The circular pilgrim way around Jokhang temple is named barkhor and later flourished. The barkhor market is one of the most famous sites throughout Tibet. Sera Monastery which was founded in 1419 by Tsongkapa’s disciple Jamchen Choeje.

| Day 3: Leaving Lhasa to Yamdrotso lake, Gyangtse and Shigatse (B) |

Hotel check-out & pick-up in the morning, then driving pass by the pretty farmlands of Nyanchu Valley, Yamdro-tso lakes and Karo-la Glacier to the city of Shigatse, the area homed by Panchen Lama.
The highlight today is Yamdro-tso Lake. Passing by the green farmland of Nyangchu Valley, Yamdro-tso lakes, karo-la glacier roadside at 4,960 meters, We move westwards to the second biggest city Shigatse, the Area spiritually hosted by Pamchan Lama.
Later on, drive to visit Yamdro-tso Lake and Kubum monastery in Gyantse. From the top of the pass which is about kangpa-la at 4,700 meters high, while in a clear and sunny days, you can enjoy seeing the fabulous shade of deep turquoise. Yamdro-tso Lake is formed like coiling scorpion with deep blue in color. Kubum monastery, means 100,000 figures in Tibetan language, is the town’s most important attraction, The 35-meter-high chorten (stupa) with its white layers trimmed with decorative stripes and its crown-like golden dome, is awe-inspiring. People can visit every chambers in the Monastery.

| Day 4: Full day visit from Shigatse to Lhatse, Tingri (Shegar), Tingri and Rongphu Monastery (B) |

Morning tour to Tashilunpo Monastery with your driver while your tour guide taking your passport to PSB station to register. Then leave at 10 am, drive along the Friendship way to Tingri. While on the way, you will pass though the check point to check your travel permit and passport, and also to buy the entrance fee to the Everest Base Camp.
90 KM bumpy road from Tingri to Rongpuk. The road from Tingri to E.B.C is really tough too. You will pass by the wild grassland, cross the rapids river and high mountains. If weather permits, you can have a glimpse of 4 mountains which are over 8,000 meters high, the mountains are: Mt. Lhotse(8, 516 m),Mt. Everes(8,848 m), Mt. Qowowuyag(8,201 m),Mt Mayalu(8,463 m).

| Day 5: Full day tour from Rongphu Monastery to Everest Base Camp, Tingri and Shigatse (B) |

While in the early morning, enjoy the fabulous sunrise from Rongphu Monastery, you can also view Mt. Everest, the view is marvelous and splendid.
The walking about 20-40 minutes to arrive at the pick-up point where take horse/donkey cart for 30 minutes to get to Everest Base Camp. If you want, you can also hike from Monastery to Base Camp for 1.5-2 hours. It’s interesting and more challenge but hart to breath. Hiking up to the top of the photo point to take pictures of the breathtaking view of Mt.Everest. In the afternoon around 1:00 pm, getting down from the camp to the Monastery and travel along friendship road back to Shigaste.
