Roof of The World

Tibet is a vast and mysterious land.
Long long ago the ancient oroganic process of mountain formation created what is today the world’s highest and largest plateau-the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau-its incomparably majestic appearance and magnificent views shaped by time and nature over millions of years. Tibet, the principal part of the Qinghai-Tihet Platcau. is locatced in the south west of China, neighboring countries inclucliw  India, Myaninar, Bhufan and Nepal. Its average altitude is over 4,000 meters and sea level.  It has the highest mountain in the world-Jomolangma (known in the
West as Mount Everest). with all altitude of 8,844.13 meters, 14 mountains above 8,000 meters and over 40 above 7,000 meters, and accountless snow mountains above 5,000 meters. Together they constitute a mass of high mountains, which look like an arched back that supports the continent of Asia. It has won the name of the “roof of the world.” and also “the world’s third pole.”
